Debbi Toole Accompanied By Barry Valentine
Music and Munch ends the year with a charming recital featuring one of
the Island’s favourite sopranos - Debbi Toole, with accompanist at the
organ, Barry Valentine.
The recital on December 1st is the second time these two artists have
performed together in the venue, where the combination of the vivacious
and spirited Toole and the wonderfully supportive, sensitive playing of
Valentine, is sure to delight.
Toole has trained privately with Maureen Branch in Victoria and
performed with the Pacific Opera Company. She has a Bachelor’s degree in
Music Education and teaches voice at her lakeside studio. Valentine plays
regularly at the "Simply Organic" popular organ music recitals and has
accompanied countless performers at Music and Munch.
The intimate setting of All Saints' church is particularly suited to
the selection of Baroque and Early English songs which make up Wednesday's
programme. Audience members will recognize some wonderfully lyrical music
and words to move the heart.
Free music begins at 12.10pm followed by an optional, delicious lunch
for $5.50. |
