Stowel Lake is fairly small - about the size of Blackburn and Ford Lakes. It is 71 metres above
sea level and has a surface area of 5.65 hectares, and a maximum depth of 7.5 metres. It is located beside Beaver
Point Road on the way from Fulford Harbour to Stewart Road or Beaver Point. It drains towards Fulford Harbour,
mainly in winter and spring, and is surrounded by farm land and a small number of houses, as well as sheep
pasture. There is public access for swimming beside the roadside. |
